Foreign Medical Graduate Application Criteria |
- J1 visas only.
- 8 year cut off for medical school graduation.
- Board Scores >80 on both step 1 and step 2.
- We do accept foreign medical graduates in our program.
- U.S. experience is helpful, however, not a requirement.

Prospective Residents: Application
We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and accept six categorical residents each year. A
completed application form, dean's letter, transcript, board scores and letters of recommendation are required. Applications are due by December 1. Interviews are by invitation only
and take place during the months of November, December and
January on Saturdays. The interview day begins at 7:30 a.m. and continues until approximately 3 p.m. We begin offering interviews in
September. The applicant will have the opportunity to visit each of the participating hospitals and speak to several general surgery residents and faculty.
